Montego Bay
Montego Bay is where the newly remodeled Sangster International Airport is located. This will probably be your starting off point in Jamaica. However, cruise ships also dock in the harbor at Montego Bay as well.
Negril
Negril was a sleepy, little fishing village until the American Hippies and some other adventuresome travelers discovered it in the Early 60's.
Accompong
Accompong is the mountaintop historic home of the Leeward Maroons. The term "Maroon" is believed derived from the Spanish word "cimmaroon" referring to "Wild and Feral" as the Maroons struck fear into the hearts of the English landholders.
Black River
Black River was once the center for the logging trade. Logwood trees, which still are found in small numbers, were harvested for the Logwood dye which was more commonly known as Prussian-blue dye that had a worldwide demand.
Treasure Beach
Treasure Beach is the name given to a string of four coves along the South Coast where a ribbon of fishing villages send out fishermen to fish the Pedro Keys.
